What it is

Deep work should still feel collaborative.

Deep tissue massage uses slower, more focused pressure to work with layers of muscle and connective tissue. At Healing Point, the session begins with a conversation about what feels restricted, sore, or overworked and how much pressure feels productive for you.

Your therapist may combine deep tissue techniques with trigger point work, stretching, myofascial approaches, or Swedish massage. The goal is a session that feels specific to your body that day, not a routine delivered the same way to everyone.

Why guests choose it

A clear service path for the way you want to feel.

01

Focused tension

Spend meaningful time on areas such as the neck, shoulders, back, hips, or legs.

02

Mobility support

Use measured pressure and movement to address tissue that feels tight or restrictive.

03

Training recovery

Create a recovery-minded session for active bodies, repetitive work, and demanding routines.

What to expect

Personal from the first conversation.

1

Share what you are feeling

Tell your therapist where tension shows up, what movements feel limited, and what pressure you prefer.

2

Set the pressure together

Your therapist checks in and adjusts the depth, pace, and techniques throughout the appointment.

3

Leave with a clearer plan

You can discuss how the session felt and whether maintenance or another focused appointment makes sense.

Before you book

Deep does not have to mean painful.

Firm pressure should remain purposeful and within your comfort. Tell your therapist about recent injuries, surgery, blood-thinning medication, osteoporosis, blood-clot concerns, or other health considerations before the session. Massage is complementary care and should not delay medical evaluation for new or worsening symptoms.

Questions before booking

Helpful answers about deep tissue massage.

Does deep tissue massage have to hurt?

No. Productive pressure can feel intense, but it should remain within your comfort. Your therapist can reduce pressure or change techniques at any time.

How long should I book?

A 60-minute session works well for one or two focus areas. Consider 75, 90, or 120 minutes when you want broader full-body work or several areas addressed.

Will I be sore afterward?

Some guests notice temporary tenderness after focused work. Communicate during the session, hydrate normally, and contact a health care provider if discomfort is unusual or persistent.
